Time is Fleeting
Why does time go by fast when a person is having fun and sooooo slow when we’re not? It’s been a great summer so far. It’s a bit warm, but I tolerate that much better than the cold. The warm weather tends to make me more apt to write and have wild ideas for new plots. I have a few flying around as I write this post.
Early this year I began volunteering with our youngest daughter at a place called the Waste Not Center. It’s a unique non-profit organization that helps reduce waste in our landfills. Maybe it’s best described as a combination Odd Lots, garage sale, and never-know-what-you’ll-find warehouse. Businesses and individuals donate new and used items they no longer need. Teachers, art students, and a variety of other people pay a yearly fee to join and then “have at it”. There are a ton of plots ripe for the picking at a place like this. And I love it.
I just returned from hearing my brother Paul play with his Bluegrass band at a farmer’s market. Great atmosphere for such an event. I had a wonderful time. I’m going to post a picture or two, so visit my personal photo album. A word about the photo album: It doesn’t save the photos chronologically which is a problem. I don’t know how to fix it, so be patient with me.
Keep Smiling.
