Christmas Blessings to All!
First, I want to wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas. It’s a blessed time of year that brings about many happy memories and a thankful heart for God sending His Son. For the most part, I’m ready…the cookies and fudges (chocolate & peanut butter) are done, the presents are wrapped and the tree is in place. It’s time to celebrate Jesus!
For some people, however, this time of year is hard. Whether it’s an empty chair or an empty heart, it’s difficult to muster the feeling of joy they used to feel. Maybe the memory has begun to dim and they no longer remember past Christmas celebrations. There will come a time when these may be true for all of us, including me. May I remember that the very basis of Christmas will give me much more than the best celebration I’ve had here. I’ll have eternity with family and friends…a true celebration with the One who made it possible.
Until then, I plan to enjoy my family. Our oldest graduated college and is home for a few days. Everyone is together again and the house is alive with the sounds of laughter. May your house be full of laughter and joy, as well.
Have a beautiful New Year. Be sure to visit me on Facebook. Just let me know you’re a reader (and not some kook
) wanting to be my friend. I post different pictures on Facebook than I do this website.
Merry Christmas,
Beth
