Blessings for Thanksgiving

How did we get from June to Thanksgiving without my knowledge? One blink and it will Christmas. If the radio stations are any indication, Christmas started November 1st. I’ve held off listening. I love Thanksgiving and enjoy the fact that the entire nation takes time to reflect on their blessings. I’d like to spent time on this before moving onto Christmas.

There are times when it feels like our blessing are few and the trials are many. It’s hard (very hard) to keep a thankful heart during these times. As I look back, though, it’s quite evident that these bumps in the road are no match for the blessings God has given….even when the bumps become more frequent and bigger as life goes on. So, I’m thankful for all God has given me. I’ll never ask for the trials (I’d be crazy to, right?), but I will try to keep a thankful heart during them.

Our oldest daughter is graduating early from college. We’re very proud of her and can’t wait for the graduation next month. I’m sure she’s ready, too. We are doing the college search for the youngest. Anyone else find that job stressful???? Writing is coming along slowly, but surely. I hope to have something finished by the end of January.

I wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. Blessings to all.

Hugs,
Beth
