Nipped in the Bud
Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. The flowers are loving the warm weather. My cherry tree, however, is very sparse. It had beautiful blooms in spring, but the spring cold snap must have nipped it in the bud….as Deputy Barney used to say. Sometimes, I feel like that. I’m blooming just right and a cold snap nips my excitement right in the bud. That’s why I’m so glad God never changes and He sees me through those times.
The characters in my latest manuscript are also getting nipped in the bud. One is a believer and one is not. Both are struggling with God’s role in the difficulties of life. Soon, they will find out that God knows exactly what he’s doing. I’m praying the message comes through.
The garden is slow growing, but progressing. One little green tomato is hanging on for dear life….just like my characters. Can’t wait until the fruit is red and ripe.
Happy Fourth of July! I’m grilling ribs for the first time in my life. It’s good to try something new. If it turns out good, my oldest daughter will be very happy indeed.
Hugs,
Beth
