Colonial Williamsburg Merry Christmas

Before I talk about our wonderful trip to Colonial Williamsburg, let me take time to wish all of you a very Merry CHRISTmas. I love this time of year! Celebrating Christ’s birth has a special meaning to me and I hope to you, also. And yes, I still become bogged down with all the preparations and have to prioritize from time to time….just like everyone else. I’m busy baking cookies, cleaning house, writing greeting cards, putting up the tree (tonight), and wrapping presents. But I love it all!

Our family decided to visit Colonial Williamsburg for Christmas. (Be sure to see the pictures I posted in the photo section.) My husband and I had been to Williamsburg several years ago before we had children, and we wanted to see it decorated for Christmas. It was absolutely wonderful. We walked miles and miles everyday and went to several evening activities. The Bruton Parish Church has a candlelight service with their bell choir. Fabulous!

My husband and I learned a colonial dance that was fun. If my husband had known HE would be dancing during this tour, I probably would have been alone. But God knew my husband needed to let loose with a dance. Right, honey?

As much fun as Colonial Williamsburg has been and the enjoyment I receive from the Christmas season, I pray that I never forget the real reason for this season. May it be your prayer, too.

Merry Christmas,

Beth
