Spring Break Camping in the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas64 viewsIt was great to relax by the campfire after a day in the diamond field. Although it was cold (60 degrees) in Arkansas, at least we weren't in Ohio where it was 30 degrees and snowing in April. It was worth the 850 miles.

A Levitte's Landing Look-a-Like46 viewsThis dockside shopping complex reminds me of Levitte's Landing. It's complete with a great seafood restuarant.

Jason and Lauren's Beautiful Gazebo57 viewsThe gazebo is one of my favorites. When Jason built the house, it just had to have this wonderful place overlooking the water. This is where Jason and Lauren were quite appropriately wed. If you don't remember this scene, that's okay. It will be in the new epilogue once the three books are put together for the Heartsong Ohio book.

Ohio Village Dicken's Christmas23 viewsErica and I had a very unique opportunity to volunteer at the Ohio Village for their, "Dicken's of a Christmas". The setting is circa 1850. We worked two weekends in a variety of places including the funeral parlor (see other picture), freight station, toy shop, farm house, and church. It was great to go back in time. 12-19-08

Big Band Party65 viewsWhat is a Big Band Party without some ballroom dancing? Even the young people took a swing at dancing. Whether the song was slow (Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller) or fast (In the Mood), it was fun to bring back those wonderful memories from the 1940s and 1950s. And no, I'm not THAT old, but I still appreciate the music.

Sunset Literary Club 100th Anniversary7 views The Sunset Literary Club celebrated their 100th anniversary. The club was organized on April 22, 1910. I'm proud to serve as their current president. I was fortunate to be the one to induct our very first male member (I'm standing next to him in the pic) who is the Hilltop Library manager.

Ohio Village Dickens of a Christmas13 viewsHere is Erica in the Ohio Village Farm House for their Dickens of a Christmas. She especially loved to gross out the kids with the cow tongue. Anyone for plum pudding…..which does not have plums or pudding as ingredients? No cow tongue, either.
